Minor changes were made to the 2006 Hyundai Tucson but this compact crossover sport utility vehicle still provides plenty bang for the buck over previous generations as well as when compared to the competition.
The engine choices remain the same: A baseline 2.0L Inline-4 engine producing 140HP and 136FTLB of torque or the performance-oriented 2.7L V-6 capable of pushing 173HP and 178FTLB of torque.
A 5-speed manual transmission is available standard on the 2.0L Inline-4 engine models with an option for a 4-speed automatic which comes standard on all 2.7L V-6 models.
The 2006 Hyundai Tucson comes standard with a front-wheel-drive powertrain on 103.5” wheel-base tires and optionally can be equipped with a four-wheel-drive platform at the drivers choice.
